The Gossip Cardigan is worked from top to bottom, partly in rows, partly in rounds without seaming. The sweater is worked using a structured stitch pattern with openwork.
You start by working the back of the cardigan up to the armhole. The back is worked in rows using short German rows to shape the profile of the shoulders. Then you work the right and left fronts in rows while simultaneously shaping the neckline. In the next step, the fronts and back are joined together and worked together. The body is finished with a 1×1 stitch.
The sleeves are joined to the body using a seamless technique of picking up stitches. The sleeves are worked in rounds while simultaneously decreasing stitches to shape the shape of the sleeves. The sleeves are finished with a 1×1 stitch.
The edgeband is attached to the body using a seamless pick-up technique. The edgeband is worked in rows using a 1×1 stitch.
