The For Him sweater is knitted  top down, partly in rows and partly in the round, with no seaming. The sweater is worked in stockinette stitch, and the ribbing is done in a 1×1 pattern.

You start by knitting the back portion of the sweater, shaping the slanted shoulder profile. Then, you work the right and left shoulder in rows. In the next step, the front and back are joined for simultaneous row knitting by picking up stitches for the sleeves. You continue working all parts simultaneously while shaping the neckline. Afterward, both sides of the neckline are joined, and from this point, you knit in the round until you reach the armhole. In the next step, the stitches are divided between the body and the sleeves, and each part is worked separately in the round until the ribbing. The sleeves are worked with decreases to shape them. Both the body and the sleeves are finished with ribbing in a 1×1 pattern.

The neckband is seamlessly joined to the body using a pick-up technique. The collar is worked in the round in a 1×1 ribbing pattern.
