The sweater is worked top-down, partially in rows and partially in the round, seamlessly. It is knitted in stockinette stitch, with ribbing done in 1×1 rib stitch.
You start by working the back section of the sweater, shaping the slanting shoulder profile with German short rows, and then continue knitting the back until the underarm. In the next step, you work the right and left front sections in rows, while shaping the neckline. Both fronts are then joined, and the front is worked down to the underarm. After that, the front and back are joined and knitted in the round down to the hem ribbing.
The sleeves are joined to the body using a seamless pick-up technique. They are worked in the round with decreases to shape their form.
The neckband is attached to the body using a seamless pick-up technique and is worked in the round in 1×1 rib.
