Bocas Dress is worked top down, partly flat and partly in the round, with no seaming. The dress is knitted in a lace pattern.
You begin by working the back flat, shaping the slanted shoulder line at the same time by increasing stitches. The back is then worked flat down to the underarm. Next, you work the left and right front pieces flat, shaping the neckline at the same time. Both front pieces are then joined together and worked flat to the underarm. In the next step, the front and back are joined and worked together in the round to the desired length. The whole piece is finished with a decorative purl I-cord bind-off.
The sleeves are joined to the body using a seamless pick-up-and-knit technique. The sleeves are worked in the round and finished with a decorative purl I-cord bind-off.
The collar is joined to the body using a seamless pick-up-and-knit technique and worked flat. Stitches are bound off using a stretchy bind-off method.

Before you begin knitting, take your measurements to decide which size will fit you best. The dress is designed to give about 25-35 cm of positive ease.
