Why will you love this pattern?
The Ofelia sweater is an oversized sweater worked from the top down without sewing.
You begin by working two shoulder panels. Next, you move on to working the back. The back is shaped using German short rows and then worked in rows until the end of armhole shaping. In the next step, you move on to working the front. First, you work the left front and shape it using German short rows while simultaneously shaping the neckline. Next, you move on to working the right front in the same way as the left front. Then, both fronts are joined to complete the neckline shaping and to allow you to work the front across the full row length until the end of armhole shaping. Once this step is complete, the front and back are joined to work in the round. The sleeves are joined to the body using a seamless stitch pick-up technique. The sleeves are worked in the round while simultaneously decreasing stitches to shape them. The neckband is started by picking up stitches along the neckline and is then worked to the specified height to create a double thickness.
