Merah Mittens are worked in stockinette stitch from top to bottom without seaming, partly in rounds with Magic Loop, partly flat.
We start by working the top of the mittens to give them a semi-circular shape by increasing stitches. Then the main part is worked in rounds, up to the thumb. In the next step, you work flat to shape the thumb hole. Then you continue working in rounds to form a decorative fold and double ribbing.
The thumb is then worked seamlessly using German short rows and in rounds with Magic Loop.
