Fluffini Sweater is a beautiful pattern for a mock turtleneck sweater with a delicate cable texture. The sweater is worked from the top down, partly back and forth in rows and partly in the round, without seaming.
You begin by working the back of the sweater flat in rows, while simultaneously shaping the slanted shoulder line by increasing stitches. The back is worked in rows down to the underarm depth. Next, you work the left and right front sections flat in rows, shaping the neckline at the same time.
In the next step, the fronts and back are joined together and worked as one piece in the round down to the ribbing, which is worked in a 1×1 rib stitch.
The sleeves are joined to the body using a seamless pick-up technique. The sleeves are worked in the round with simultaneous stitch decreases to shape the sleeve, and are finished with a 1×1 rib stitch.
The mock turtleneck is joined to the body using a seamless pick-up technique. It is worked in the round in 1×1 rib stitch and stockinette stitch.
